Laura received her undergraduate degree from University of Georgia and a Master of Community Counseling from Georgia State University. She has worked as a counselor since 1995. In that time, Laura spent 10 years as a Case Manager and Family Therapist at the Ridgeview Institute Child and Adolescent Program.
She offers individual, couples and family therapy. Areas of specialization include child/adolescent therapy, play therapy, issues facing blended families, mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Laura’s counseling style can be considered humanistic, meaning her focus the experience of counseling, utilizing qualities such as genuineness and empathy.
