Having worked as a therapist for many years, I am able to guide individual clients towards their goals. I am proactive in my approach and will help my clients figure out how to make changes in their lives that will really work for them.
My approach is non-judgmental, and change oriented. With my extensive experience and training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I am in a unique position to provide understanding and empathy to a wide range of people, from teenagers dealing with intense relationships or problem behaviors, to students living with emotional ups and downs to adults who have struggled to feel accepted or validated from an early age.
I teach skills such as emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and mindfulness to help people navigate their way out of chaos or confusion. I am intensively trained in DBT by Behavioral Tech of Seattle.
My other areas of expertise include anger management therapy, treatment for depression and bipolar disorder, working to reduce anxiety, recovery from trauma or abuse, and simply helping my clients understand their feelings and behaviors more fully to gain self-awareness and a vision for future goals.
I’m an English man living and working here in the USA. I am compassionate and open-minded. I also have a good sense of humor. My goal is to help people feel relaxed, understood and to gain a sense of hope that the future can bring peace and optimism.
